BRBR Ltd, wood flooring Cambridge is a family business whose links with the timber industry and forest management in Brazil go back nearly 30 years. Two generations of the family have been involved in the production of a wide range of timber products, from rough sawn lumber to flooring, right through to high quality mahogany furniture, across a wide area of Northern Brazil. The young mahogany tree in the photo was one of around 250,000 native hardwoods planted during the 80’s in a reforestation project set up and run by BRBR’s director, in the Amazonian state of Rondonia.

Having campaigned for sustainable forest management for many years, when deciding to import hardwood flooring from Brazil to the UK, we looked very closely at each prospective supplier’s environmental credentials.
