Town Guide - almost every destination in the UK
Crawley

Although Crawley is believed to date back to 500BC, the first record of its existence is not until the 13th century. The town remained fairly unchanged until the arrival of the railway, when its population began to grow. Following the Second World War, Crawley became the site of a New Town, which saw a massive increase in residents to the area.

Today the town has many facilities to cater for visitors and locals alike. Whether you fancy a trip to the cinema, an evening at the theatre or a delicious dinner, there is something to suit. There are also a number of places of interest near the town. Just south of Crawley is Nymans Garden, a National Trust-owned 30 acre garden. Also not too far is The Priest House, a 15th century house which is now a museum.
