Halesowen A hardware manufacturing town where anchors were made. 18th century poet William Shenstone (buried in St. John's church) was born in the lovely house of Leasowes, which he landscaped himself. A 13th century Abbey stands on the banks of the Stour. Nearby are the Clent Hills and Woodgate Valley Country Park.
