Synonymous with racing and salts, Epsom is a Surrey market town to the north of the county. The town has an interesting history, becoming very fashionable in the 1600s due to its water, but then falling out of favour, only to return to popularity when the Derby once again injected life into Epsom. This led to the transport infrastructure being improved, and the growth of town was assured.

Epsom is ideally placed for access to the beautiful North Downs, great for long walks, as is the local common. Its proximity to London and its range of facilities, which include a theatre and a leisure centre, have made it a popular commuter town.
