Callander - Holiday resort for visitors to the Trossachs, familiar to some television viewers as the setting of the Dr Finlay's Casebook series. There is a visitor centre related to Rob Roy. The town was built in 1745. Dunblane - Four miles north of Stirling. The Cathedral, founded in the 12th century and restored in 1892, contains the tomb of Lady Drummond, mistress of James IV. Owing to its delightful situation in beautiful surroundings, the city makes an excellent holiday centre, being close to Allan Water. Killin - At the south end of Loch Tay. Attractive view from the bridge over the Falls of Dochart. The village has picturesque thatched cottages. The burial-place of the clan MacNab lies on an island in the river. Good centre for exploring Ben Lawers, Ben More, Glen Lyon, and the Falls of Lochay.
