Rushden, in east Northamptonshire, is situated in a valley to the north east of Northampton. Initially it was an agricultural village, but over the centuries the crafts of lace-, brick- and shoe-making all grew up in the area.

The town is now home to a wide range of shops and facilities. Whether you want a lively evening at the pub or a relaxing meal at a restaurant, Rushden has a selection of places from which to choose. The town is also home to the Rushden Station Transport Museum, which has a road transport collection and working steam and diesel locomotives railway rolling stock.
