The Borough of Corby may be a largely urban and industrialised area, (formerly steel production exploiting the local ironstone) but centre of the town includes 170 largely unspoilt acres of ancient woodland - part of Rockingham Forest - with, at their heart, a tranquil boating lake. On the outskirts of the town is Rockingham Castle.
