Britain’s first spa town, Tunbridge Wells is a lively, historic town that retains much of it Georgian charm. ‘The Wells’ were popular in the 18th and 19th centuries and were visited by Royalty and celebrities of the time. The Pantiles, the famous colonnaded walkways, have long since developed into the town’s central shopping arcade, offering a range of small boutiques and antique shops.

The surrounding countryside is some of the most beautiful in the country boasting such historic delights as Penshurst Place and Leeds Castle. Equally impressive are the ancient abbeys and village churches, steam railways, rural museums and craft centres.
