A major Metropolitan Borough on the Mersey, Stockport is one of Cheshire’s most northern towns with the lights of Manchester only seven miles away. A floodlit viaduct (the largest brick-built structure in Europe) carries the Manchester-London train line across the Mersey valley. The town occupies an excellent commercial location with easy access to the regional and national road network.
