Town Guide - almost every destination in the UK
Heathrow

Heathrow is situated in the bustling London Borough of Hounslow, 15 miles from central London, and is home to Heathrow Airport, the biggest international airport in the world, which first opened in 1946, ten years after Gatwick Airport. Airlines at Heathrow Airport fly to 220 worldwide destinations in 85 countries, making the area an attractive location for international companies.

With an increase in modern air traffic, Heathrow has grown to accommodate its passing visitors and provides ample parking facilities and hotels. With reliable transportation and numerous hire car businesses its easy to get around. Heathrow’s proximity to London ensures that those staying in the area are close by to all its attractions and the Heathrow Express provides a 15 minute link to the Capital.

Within this seemingly modern centre are a number of hidden historic treasures, which include the famous 18th century home of Hogarth and Jacobean Boston Manor House, noted for its 17th century panels, which represent the five senses. Gunnersby Park Museum is an equally rewarding day out.
