Havering

Havering is the second largest borough in Greater London, with a population of around 230,000 and an area approaching 40 square miles, half of which is in the Green Belt. The borough also has a frontage of three miles to the River Thames. It takes its name from the picturesque village of Havering-atte-Bower where a Royal Palace was once situated.

Romford is situated at the north of the borough on the Essex county border. There is a fine shopping centre and a 750 year old market, established and run under Royal Charter. There are no shortage of arts, entertainment, sports and leisure facilities and a number of scenic country walks, ancient villages, historic houses and archeological finds throughout the area.

The borough includes the following postcodes: RM1 - RM3, RM5, RM7 and RM11 - RM14.
