Hove Wide boulevards, Regency buildings, beautiful lawns and promenades and Victorian lamp standards are just some of the characteristics of Hove, the beautiful seaside resort in East Sussex. Once a fishing village, Hove developed largely after 1850, mainly because of developments at it’s neighbouring town Brighton, where an influx of visitors came to the fashionable piers, forcing it to grow. This fine retreat for those seeking peace and tranquility is home to the Sussex County Cricket Ground and major exhibtion on engineering, The British Engineerium, however children will particularly enjoy visiting the nearby Sea Life Centre and the Booth Museum of Natural History which houses stuffed birds, butterflies and beetles among other things. Although life is set at a slighter more relaxed pace than Brighton, Hove has a thriving nightlife with many pubs, clubs and restaurants and for the daytime, it also has a wealth of museums and art galleries.
