Wimborne At the confluence of the Allen and Stour, five miles north of Poole, and occupying the site of a Roman station. Town's origin is the foundation in the 8th century of an abbey and later the Minster of St. Cuthberga. The Minster Church is Norman with an Early English Chancel.
