Armagh - Ecclesiastical Capital of Ireland, and the ancient leading city of Christian Ireland, its schools having been attended by great multitudes until the Danes came. The Book of Armagh, a Latin manuscript containing the confession of St. Patrick s are now in the Library of Trinity College, Dublin. The Cathedral, in spite of its many burnings, is still full of interest, and the Archbishop's Palace contains some good portraits. The Roman Catholic Cathedral is built on a hill where St. Patrick once rescued a fawn from death. The Royal School was founded by Charles I in 1627. Craigavon - Since 1965 a new town between Lurgan and Portadown close to south shore of Lough Neagh, the largest lake in the British Isles.
