Working out of a private practice in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham I offer counselling or psychotherapy in a private and comfortable setting. My services are available for people across Middlesex and Surrey.

People I regularly work with include couples with relationship difficulties, people with problems at work which may be due to having a stressful job and people with more long-standing problems. My Counselling Service Twickenham also provides treatment for people with eating disorders.

I do not offer advice for how you can solve your problems, instead, I work with psycho-analytic principles which recognise that causes of problems may have originated in the unconscious part of the mind. I create a space in which you are encouraged to explore your own feelings and emotions and learn how to talk about them.

The purpose of the therapy I offer is to help the client understand themselves as an individual. I aim to strengthen the inner personality to result in the client feeling more confident and competent.

At our first meeting we will discuss which approach is going to work for you and what you can expect in the future.

My Training

I trained at The Institute of Psychotherapy and Social Studies, receiving a diploma in Psychotherapy in 1986.

I received a Masters degree in The Psychology of Counselling and Therapy at Regent’s College School of Psychotherapy.

My training in social studies gave me a sensitivity to the influence of cultural background and gender on the individual and their experience of life.

Fees

In some cases, I offer a free consultation. Otherwise I charge £55 for a consultation and £45- £55 for on-going sessions of 50 minutes. Fees are negotiated individually and in some cases I offer students of counselling and therapy, or the unwaged, ongoing sessions at £30.
