Liskeard

Busy historic town on the main road from Plymouth down to Bodmin. To its north is Bodmin Moor where copper mines, produced great wealth. Liskeard was one of the towns where the mineral had to be weighed and taxed. The town had a canal constructed down the valley of the East Looe river, a route still folloed today by a railway line. West of the town is Dobwalls Leisure Park.
