Town Guide - almost every destination in the UK
Colwyn Bay

Colwyn Bay is on the North Wales coast. Well-known for its sandy beaches, it is a popular tourist destination. Being a seaside town it has many of the expected features including Victoria Pier - home to many attractions. However it was only really in the 19th century that the transformation began from a farming community to a tourist haven.

When you fancy a change from the sea and sand, there are lots of interesting places to go. The Welsh Mountain Zoo is sure to be a hit with kids, as is Dinosaur World where the many lifesize models will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time!Near Colwyn Bay is the magnificent Bodnant Garden. With a famous laburnum arch, wooded valley and views across to Snowdonia, it is a magical place to visit.
