Guisborough - On the very northern boundary of the North York Moors, (and some four miles east of Middlesborough) Guisborough is an ancient market town with the remains of a 12th century Augustinian Priory which can still be visited. The National Park includes the largest expanse of open heather moorland in the country.

Saltburn-by-the-Sea - Ten miles east of Middlesborough. A picturesque seaside resort on cliffs with higher cliffs on either side, firm sandy beach and a glen behind. North Yorkshire Moors. On the Cleveland Way, 40 miles route down the coast to Filey and across the moors to Helmsley.
