Crewe A large railway engineering centre, Crewe grew with the railway, occupying a position between the lines that link Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham. Recently it has attracted an industrial mix and is famously home to Rolls Royce. It also has the first Green Business Park in Britain. Buildings of note in the town include the tower of Christ Church and the Market Hall, which now houses the municipal offices. The shopping centre is pedestrianised and made attractive with paving blocks and flowers. Crewe regularly wins the large town section of the regional Britain in Bloom competition and has been a national winner. Nearby Nantwich also offers much to see and do, its surrounding rural area being famous for its cheese.
