Maidenhead A flourishing, beautiful and lively town on the Thames, full of green lawns and big houses. In the 20's was a favourite resort of those who like dancing on houseboats or in riverside night clubs. Railway bridge over the Thames was designed by Brunel (1838). Nearby attractions, Boulter's Lock on the Thames and Courages' Shire Horse Centre.
