Hungerford - Famous for Hocktide celebrations dating back hundreds of years. Each Easter Tutti Men" with decorated poles claim a kiss from every woman they meet - a festival originating ina the gift of certain manorial rights by John of Gaunt. The town is on the Kennet and Avon Canal. Nearby is Littlecott House.
Sandhurst - Straggling village but the name is known worldwide for the Royal Military Acadamy which moved here in 1807. The countryside around is heathy and forested for this was part of the ancient Windsor Forest which reached its limits at the Blackwater valley which neighbours Sandhurst and Camberley - now offering a wealth of countryside recreation.
